The brochure brings a concise presentation of conservation work on the Baroque votive monument of the Holy Trinity in Požega, also known as the Plague Memorial. Conservation-restoration included surface cleaning, mechanical and chemical cleaning, after which prints were taken to make plaster models. Missing parts were reconstructed and a plaster cast was used to make a stone replica. The original monument was dismantled for protection and replaced by a replica in the main square in Požega.
This short publication presents the first phase of the project of full scale protection and rehabilitation of Diocletian's Palace Peristyle. Research and conservation work on the northern part of the eastern colonnade included documentation, the detailing of all types of injury, a precise diagnosis of the monument’s state and the cleaning of surfaces – by combining chemical and mechanical methods, the use of laser technology and the consolidation and protection of stone surfaces.
The brochure was featured with the exhibition of restored paintings of the 17th-century Venetian painters in Istria. The exhibition presented paintings which have been largely overlooked and unknown to experts, such as works of Palma il Giovane, A. Triva, P. Negri, J. Kerckhovea and L. Dorigny.
The medieval Sokolac castle was once the seat of the mighty Princes of Krk (the House of Frankopan) in the Lika region. Underneath the castle’s strong walls, the town of Brinje has developed during the unsettled centuries. Its monumental architecture and a history of visiting royalties and other notable historical make it a valuable heritage site of historical and artistic importance.
The fifty years of conservators' work in Split was presented for the opening of a new Croatian Conservation Institute building.
