In its first issue, authors address a number of topics and present researches in conservation-restoration and similar disciplines. The journal contributes to the theory and practice of protecting Croatian cultural heritage, especially focusing on direct interventions on the artefacts themselves. The featured CD presents the Croatian Conservation Institute’s overview of research and works for the year 2009, in the form of 273 catalogue items.
ICOR - International Conference on Conservation-Restoration, Book of Proceedings comprises 33 lectures by Croatian and foreign experts, covering the following topics: organization of the conservation-restoration activity, training and further development in the conservation-restoration activity, and development and role of conservation-restoration activity in an overall cultural and economic development.
The brochure presents several years of rehabilitation of three tile stoves from a Baroque building in Požega. The building once served as a silk mill but now houses the local Conservation Department. Another stove belonging to the Požega Town Museum was also restored. Experts from the Croatian Conservation Institute carried out all conservation-restoration work.
