Archaeological Research on the Zagreb–Goričan Highway and its Access Roads

This richly illustrated book presents the results of archaeological research from various sites, spanning from the Bednja River to the Drava River area. A number of finds were investigated, dating from the Eneolithic period, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

The proceedings book includes some 30 presentations from an international conference on paper conservation and restoration, held in Ludbreg and Zagreb in 2004. Lectures and presentations addressed a number of topics and offered practical solutions for conservation restoration treatments of cultural artefacts with paper as base material.

The monograph was published to mark the completion of conservation-restoration of the bronze statue of Apoxyomenos and its exhibition in the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb (18th May – 17th September 2006).

The book presents various conservation-restoration treatments carried out on the Jacopo Tintoretto altarpiece depicting St. Mark, from the Cathedral in Korčula. An exhibition presenting the works was mounted at the Rector's Palace in Dubrovnik in 2006.
