Professional conference, Zagreb, Mimara Museum, 1st-3rd December 1997
Some 180 participants (conservators, conservators-restorers, curators of historic and art collections) from Croatia took part at the three-day conference organised in the Mimara Museum.
The purpose of the conference was to present modern-day practices and techniques of preventive conservation for historic and art objects in museums, libraries, archives and historic buildings, weather exhibited or kept in depots.
Special emphasis was placed on examining different kinds of damage, keeping conditions, preventive conservation and methods of reducing or eliminating damage by proper supervision.
