During the European Year of Cultural Heritage, a four-year program of the Croatian Conservation Institute will be presented. The program will, through an interdisciplinary approach, include archival, historical and art research, restoration research and all the work that still needs to be carried out, including the reconstruction of the church so it can be properly valorized and presented to the public.

During the European Year of Cultural Heritage, the completed conservation and restoration of the polyptych of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the Church of St. Mary on the island of Šipan will be presented.

During the European Year of Cultural Heritage, the results of archaeological research of the former Benedictine monastery of St. Margaret in Bijela will be presented. The remains of the monastery are a rare example of a Benedictine community in Medieval Slavonia. The research conducted on the site will help further the knowledge on religious complexes, and its conservation and presentation will enrich the cultural landscape of Western Papuk.
