Creative Europe (2014-2020) is a European Commission programme aimed at supporting European cultural, creative and audiovisual development through two sub-programmes - Culture and MEDIA. At the national level, they are coordinated by the Creative Europe Desk established at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
We aim to use the cycle of events European Baroque in my Homeland: Socializing with the Straub Family Heritage to encourage recognition of the treasures of our own heritage in a wider, European context.
The TrArS project researches and presents the artistic work of members of the Straub family of sculptors who worked in Central Europe in the eighteenth century. One of the earliest and most important artworks in Croatia is the high altar of the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pakrac by the sculptor and carpenter Franz Anton Straub.
The presentation event will be held as part of the rich programme of the Pakrac Cultural Summer and will take place in the Town Hall (Pakrac, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića, Janković Mansion courtyard) on Wednesday, 10 July, starting at 8 p.m.
