In the 1860s, sculptor and carpenter Franz Anton Straub was working in Zagreb. During his most productive years, his workshop endowed the churches of continental Croatia with numerous exquisitely crafted wooden altars and sculptures which stand out among artworks produced at the time. Among his most beautiful works are three preserved pulpits in Kutina, Marija Gorica and Brezovica, and the pulpit from the parish church of Our Lady of the Snows in Kutina is one of the most beautiful wood carving works of art in northwest Croatia from the 18th century.
Presentation in Kutina is part of the cycle of educational and promotional activities European Baroque in my Homeland: Socialising with the Straub Family Heritage.
