The President of the Republic Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović presented the Charter of the Republic of Croatia to restorers and conservators as an expression of recognition and gratitude for their work and their contribution to the development and progress of the Republic of Croatia.

The former palace of the Sorkočević Family, today the Bishop’s Palace, is located in the southeast part of Dubrovnik, in the Pustijerna quarter. The Palace is located opposite the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It used to be the largest private residential building in the city, and, in the 19th century, when it became the property of the Bishop of Dubrovnik, the Palace further emphasised the ecclesiastical centre in the city.

The eighth issue of the Portal journal, annual scientific and professional publication of the Croatian Conservation Institute, features eleven papers presenting topics in cultural heritage protection. Seven of those are original scientific papers, and four are review articles. Ten are published in Croatian and one is in English. Attached to the articles is a CD containing the catalogue of the Institute’s conservation works in 2016, with 248 items listed.
